This Rust-Oleum Hard Hat Top Coat Aerosol is a fast-drying, short oil soya alkyd-based metal spray paint. It is formulated with lead- and chromate-free pigments and offers high gloss. The paint is suitable for application over Rust-Oleum Hard Hat primers or properly prepared painted substrates, intended for small maintenance jobs or touch-ups. It is designed for light industrial exposures, normal humidity, and interior applications. The paint has a recommended film thickness of 25 µm dry (averagely 100 µm wet) and a VOC content of 640-650 g/l. Drying times at 20°C/50% relative humidity are: to touch in 15 minutes, to handle in 30 minutes, and recoating is possible within 1 hour or after 48 hours. Full hardness is achieved in 7 days. It is heat-resistant up to 100°C (dry heat), though discoloration may occur above 65°C. Theoretical coverage is 2.5 m² per spray can at 25 µm dry. The paint is available in Signal Blue RAL5005 and comes in a 500 ml can.
