The Panasonic Lumix GH5S is a mirrorless digital camera body in black. It features a new micro four thirds size sensor and achieves high sensitivity and excellent image quality, particularly in low light. The camera is capable of recording breathtaking low light images and 4K 60p video with limitless recording time and 10-bit internal recording. It supports Cinema 4K (C4K: 4096 x 2160) 60p/50p video recording and internal 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K video recording, which renders subtle gradations without banding. A neutral or flat logarithmic gamma curve captures wide dynamic range pictures ideal for color grading, with a LUT Display function to assist exposure. HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode reproduces bright and dark parts of an image as the human eye sees them, with hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) available in photo style. The sensor handles multiple aspect ratios (4:3, 17:9, 16:9, 3:2) without changing focal length. Video expressivity is enhanced with Variable Frame Rate (VFR) for overcranked/undercranked videos in C4K/4K (up to 60-fps, 2.5x slower) or FHD (up to 240-fps, 10x slower). The GH5S can output 4:2:2 10-bit real-time images to an external monitor or recorder via an optional HDMI cable while simultaneously recording internally. Time Code can be synchronized with an external device using the bundled BNC Conversion cable for easier non-linear timeline editing. It is compatible with the new “LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)” software program for PC.
