Description
The RUCKUS Networks 901-R550-WW00 is a wireless access point designed to meet rising Wi-Fi capacity requirements in dense environments such as classrooms, office spaces, and medium-size venues. It features Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax) technology, delivering an ideal combination of increased capacity, improved coverage, and affordability. This dual-band, dual-concurrent AP supports four spatial streams (2x2:2 in 2.4GHz/5GHz) and achieves peak data rates of up to 1774 Mbps, efficiently managing up to 512 client connections. It offers stunning Wi-Fi performance by mitigating interference and extending coverage with patented BeamFlex+ adaptive antenna technology. The R550 allows for more devices to connect simultaneously with four MU-MIMO spatial streams and concurrent dual-band radios, enhancing device performance. It acts as a converged access point, enabling the unification of Wi-Fi and IoT technologies into a single network through built-in BLE and Zigbee, with the ability to expand to future wireless technologies. ChannelFly dynamic channel technology uses machine learning to automate optimal throughput by selecting the least congested channels. SmartMesh wireless meshing technology simplifies network configurations by dynamically creating self-forming, self-healing mesh networks. The access point also supports services beyond Wi-Fi, including RUCKUS IoT Suite, Cloudpath security and onboarding software, SPoT Wi-Fi locationing engine, and RUCKUS analytics. The device is white and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
